When you shop SHANAE, you aren’t just investing in care for yourself—you’re also investing in care for others.
As a black owned business, we are passionate about investing in and giving back to communities of color. That’s why we donate 10% of sales to support free therapy and health coaching to Black and Indigenous People of Color through the Grounded Wellness Community Fund.
We believe that everyone should have access to therapy as an important tool for self care. But for BIPOC in particular, the reality looks very different. Research has shown that BIPOC are:
- Less likely to have access to mental health services
- Less likely to seek out services
- Less likely to receive needed care
- More likely to receive poor quality of care
- More likely to end services prematurely
The Grounded Wellness Community fund exists to provide free, culturally competent therapy and health coaching to Black and Indigenous People of Color. The fund is different from other organizations that provide therapy in that there is no limit to the amount of services clients have access to. Whether it is a few sessions until an individual can afford to pay or long-term support for a year or more, funds are provided to individuals who need it most to support long term care and healing.
$200 provides 1 month of sessions for a member of the BIPOC community in financial need.
